The Game
Wow. I have to admit I have been interested in this game for a while. Being a fan of the RPG genre, especially turn-based, I have been waiting for something like this game. I have watched the making of videos and gameplay trailers on YouTube. So my expectation level for this game has been high. After playing the first few hours of this game, I have to say I am very impressed. The artstyle, music, and combat system are all very good and well done.

Artstyle
If you have seen any of the videos for this game, it looks like a watercolor painting. It kind of reminds me of the old Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe or the Rankin/Bass animated movies. The team at Ubi-Art did a very good job with it in my opinion. The animation is fluid and works well in tandem with the combat and music of the game. Also I should mention that this game story wise is a fairy tale and is told in a poetic format. This adds some bits of comedy to it that had me smiling and grinning through certain parts. One character in particular is funny everytime they talk to her.

Music
Anyone who knows me, knows I love all types of music. This game has great music in it and I wish I could find a soundtrack for it as there are a lot of great tracks in game. The game's music is orchestrated and there is a making of video on YouTube where they chronicle it in detail. Check it out when you have a chance.

Combat
One of my favorite RPG battle systems is from Grandia 2. This games' battle system has similarities to that game because some of the people who worked on this game were on that team. Each of the characters have their own play styles and in combat it really shows. It's important to know that there are a lot of skill tree combinations in this game for people to play around with and its a lot of fun to play around with those combos.

I'm still playing through this game and I hope to have a review up on my YouTube channel in two weeks. I have also put a play through of the first 20 minutes on my channel as well. Check it out when you have a chance. If you are interested in this game its 14.99 across the board and rumor has it that the game is between 15 and 20 hours. Let me know what you think and don't forget to check out the YouTube channel.
