This one is for my Nintendo fans. I have been seeing, hearing, and reading a lot of differing opinions on the subject of voice chat for Nintendo. Most of the discussions have to do with the upcoming title Splatoon for the Wii U. Now I am not here to tell you whether you should or should not purchase this game. I am not going to call you out of your name because your thought process is different than mine but what I am going to do is offer a suggestion for those that want it added to this upcoming title. First let me deal with this little misconception that the Wii U cannot deal with voice chat. That is inaccurate. The U can indeed handle voice chat, what Nintendo has done is left it up to the developer if they wish to implement that feature or not. How do I know? Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate utilizes voice chat (very well I might add) in its online mode. I have gone on many hunts with various members of the Gamers @ Large as well as other friends that I have.
You see people Nintendo has given you a tool to use that lets you talk directly to developers. If you want voice chat in Splatoon or other games you just need to utilize the tool that you have. Going on YouTube or the Nintendo Facebook page yelling and screaming isn't the way to get what you want. My suggestion is this, play the game first. I don't care if you buy it or play it at a friends house, but play the game, the parts of the game you feel can benefit from voice chat let Nintendo know via MiiVerse. Be respectful of course because like older people back home in Georgia say "you catch flies with honey not vinegar." While you may think that ranting, calling people out of their name, and being a general ass will cause change I can promise you it will not get you what you want. The last thing I would suggest is to use the hashtag that the Red Knight came up with initially and that is WiiHaveAVoice. Well that's all I got people. Me, personally I will be getting this game, it looks like a lot of fun to me. I will be game capping this game as well so you will see it on my YouTube channel when it releases. Whatever you decide to do just remember to have fun and be respectful. I feel that we as gamers have forgotten that, forgotten what fun is and having a good time. Games should and always have been about having fun not arguing over specs and resolution. Not hiding behind Internet avatars being a rude and petulant child. If people don't like my suggestion that's cool, I'm not going to get mad and make a video about it. I'm just going to have fun playing my games. Simply because I am a Gamer and I have nothing to prove to anyone. I hope that everyone that reads this post understands that point. Just have fun.
