Nintendo's Nindies Direct Thoughts

I have to say I really do like these short and to the point directs. The direct lasts about 18 minutes and we get a lot of information about upcoming games in that time frame. The games that were shown will all be coming at some point this year. There were even reveals of some coming in the launch window of the Switch, which is always welcome news. For this post, I just want to go over the ones that caught my eye and that I will be looking to pick up.
  • Yooka-LayLee: You have to admit that when it was canceled from the Wii U that it was coming to the Switch. The great thing about this is that now it's coming with multiplayer. Fans of games like Banjo-Kazooie are happy that this title is coming to the console.
  • Dandara: This game has an interesting vibe to it that has me intrigued. They only showed what would amount to a teaser trailer but I am looking forward to this one. Also, my interest has nothing to do with the fact that the heroine looks like Pam Grier circa Foxy Brown.
  • Blaster Master 0: I don't think that I ever played the original but this game looks like it could be a ton of fun. Also, it is releasing March 9th. Good thing I have money in my eShop account.
  • Flipping Death: Okay so you guys that follow this blog know I have an affinity for games with comedic elements in it right. That and the art style just speaks to me so I had to add this one to my list.
  • Shakedown Hawaii: Now this game looks like violence for violence sake in the style of Retro City Rampage. Don't believe me, look at the trailer for the game. I think now you know why it's on my list.
  • Pocket Rumble: This game just looks fun to me and I am interested in learning more. Just from the trailer there looks to be a lot of different characters to choose from and I can't wait to dive headfirst into this one.
These are the games that I found to be interesting. I know that there are a couple more that were shown new trailers for like FAST RMX. I'll also be picking that one up as well but I think I already mentioned that game in a previous post that's why I didn't add to this one. Did you watch the direct? What indie titles are you looking forward to? Let me know in the comments and thanks for reading.
