Mortal Kombat Legacy Season 2

Mortal Kombat Legacy Season 2 - Web Series

I don't know if you have watched the first season of this web series but you really should.

This season begins where season 1 ends and it mainly focuses on the tournament.  If you know anything about Mortal Kombat lore then you know that Earth's survival revolves around the Mortal Kombat tourney.  We get to take a look at the beginning of it and the characters that they have gathered.  There are some actors that you will notice right off the bat and they do a great job in there roles.  I have to say that the fights are well choreographed and for the most part they show many of the characters moves.  They even throw in a couple of fatalities this season.  That part was awesome and as a fan of the series I was wondering if they were going to do it and they did.  There are some changes made to the story so some people may have a few issues with that but I don't.  In all honesty, for a web series I found myself enjoying the story a lot.  Its different and in my opinion the story feels tighter.  They get to the point because in all honesty you watch this for the action and they do a great job with it. Saying that there are some things that I did have issues with.

I know its a web series but can we please come to an agreement on length.  If you are going to be 10 minutes then let every episode be 10 minutes.  The length of the episodes are between 7 and 10 minutes and there are only 10 episodes.  Also I think they should have did some of the character backgrounds a little better.  There are a couple of episodes that I felt that they should have gone into the flashbacks of certain characters in more detail.  For example, with Johnny Cage they made it seem as if he was losing his mind but you don't see it they just mention it.  Another thing is that some characters from the first season did not make into this one.  I was really hoping that Michael Jai White, who played Jax and Jeri Ryan, who played Sonya would at least show up but they are not. So what is my verdict.

This is a MUST WATCH for me.  I mean all 10 episodes are up on youtube so you can watch it all in one go.  If you are a fan of the games I think you will enjoy it.  If you haven't had a chance to watch the first season; do yourself a favor and watch it.  The season ends on a cliffhanger and I am looking forward to season 3.

Before I forget parents if you allow your kids to watch PG-13 movies then it is fine.  The only problem is two episodes where they actually perform fatalities from the game. Other than that there is a little bit of language from one character in particular but it isn't that bad. I would say watch it first and then decide if your children should see it.
