Zelda First Impressions

Legend of Zelda - Wind Waker HD WiiU

First Impressions

Yeah I couldn't wait.  I mean the game was just sitting in the eShop begging to be bought, so I did.  This is how much of a Zelda fan I am and yes I have the collector's edition with the Ganon statue coming to me on October 4th.  Sorry I just had to get that out of the way.  I have to say this game is beautiful in HD and on a big, flat panel TV.  If you skipped this game the first time around I really suggest you get it.  It is one of the best games in the Zelda series.  Its not my personal favorite Zelda game but its up there.  I give Nintendo props because you have the option to play on the Gamepad or the Pro Controller. Personally I like the Gamepad because I can make any adjustments I need on the fly without having to pause the game.  There is also a cool Miiverse function in the game where you can put a message in a bottle and it floats out to the Miiverse allowing you to ask for help or send photos and other messages.  I literally see message bottles floating around all the time in game.  Another cool thing that they do is with the Pictograph (camera) box that you get at the beginning of the game.  It allows you to take pictures, even selfies, and send those out to the Miiverse as well. See the example below.

I just finished Dragon Roost Island and I am currently at the second dungeon and everything is as I remember it except this time its way better.  The little additions that have been added are really cool and I am interested in seeing what else has been enhanced and changed.  For now it is just fun adventuring in Hyrule again.  I am very interested in seeing what Nintendo has up there sleeves for the new Zelda when it finally hits. I normally don't do this but since this is a remake I will make an exception and tell you to get this game.  I mean I can go on and review this game since I played it on the original Gamecube but I am not going to do that. I will try my best to finish it so that I can review it but in all honesty I like to take my time when it comes to Zelda that's just the way I am.  So in short pick this game up whether it be physical copy or digital.  If you are a fan of Zelda I know you're going to get this game.  If you are a fan of Nintendo you should get this game.  Fan of the action/adventure genre, then GET THIS GAME.
