Super Mario 3D World - Nintendo Wii U

First Impressions
What can I say. Yeah this game is fun but first allow me to apologize. I got the game before I went on vacation and I didn't bring my Wii U. I had planned to have this impression done a lot sooner but that wasn't in the cards. That being said I am kind of glad I waited. The game itself plays a lot like Mario Land on the 3DS except better and in full HD. The game starts out with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad taking a leisurely stroll when they come across a transparent pipe. Why can't some people leave well enough alone? After the brothers fix the pipe a fairy pops out and so does Bowser, who escapes down the pipe. Peach dives in after him and that's how this party is started. If you have not heard by now the game is four player local co-op. There are multiple control options as well. I like using the gamepad personally, but you do have options for the pro controller, remote, remote and chuck, and classic controller. One thing that I like is that there are a lot of things to do in the game. Outside of the regular path, I have played a casino type level, a Captain Toad level, and a Chargin Chuck level. So far I have not come across any glitches and slowdowns in gameplay. Everything runs at a smooth clip and all of the animations are well done. There are a plethora of secrets packed in to every level (remember to keep an eye on your timer). I know on the Rayman Legends review I said that was the best platformer I have played this year. Yeah well so far Mario has retaken his crown. This game is nothing short of amazing and no Nintendo fan should be without this game in their library. I look forward to completing this one soon.
