The Game
Well a new One Piece game has finally made out to the West. As a fan of the manga/anime series as well as the game series I am glad to we were able to get this title. The game is an action adventure game in the same vein as something like Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm. All of your favorite characters from the series are represented or at least show up in the game. The game mixes some light RPG elements in to keep things interesting, just like in the Ninja Storm series. I should also let fans of the series know that the character's that this game revolve around were created by Eiichiro Oda himself. Also the game is in full Japanese with English subtitles there is no option for English dub that I saw, then again I actually prefer the Japanese voices.

This is where people may get a little upset as the trailers that they show don't make it look the best. However, I found that in game it works just fine, like I mentioned before this game plays out a lot like Ultimate Ninja Storm. Also I think the cel shade style actually works to the games benefit. There are also some CG parts in the game that gives the game a quality like the movie Strong World (good movie by the way).

Like I said earlier this game is a mix of action adventure with light RPG elements thrown in for good measure. I know you have seen in the trailer the whole fishing and bug catching thing its actually not as bad as I thought it was going to be and completely optional. As a matter of fact on my gameplay video I show one of the bug catching sequences, yeah I didn't do so hot the first time I tried it. Action wise the players move sets all take place in the story after the Marineford Arc so if you haven't been keeping up with the manga then you probably won't know what's going on, other than that its fun seeing the move sets of the characters come to life via the game. Also I know you may think the camera may be a problem but its really not you can always reset the camera to be behind the character you are currently controlling.

Its not bad. They have some tracks from the anime in game. I thought that was pretty cool. Soundtrack wise its pretty decent also the original voices from the anime make it better.

*There is a Colisuem mode that I haven't played yet as I am waiting to do that one for my full review. Don't forget to check out my YouTube channel and to like and subscribe thanks for reading.*
