Image
Available on PS4, PS3, & PSVita

The Game
Let me just be honest with you for a little bit here. I have been waiting on this series to come to North America for a while now. If you know me you know that I am a big manga and anime fan and this game is right up my alley. The game boasts a plethora of characters from various Shonen Jump manga. Some characters are well known others not so much there is a pretty good chance that you have seen some of these characters manga in your local bookstore or comic shop. If you don't frequent those types of establishments then you probably have no idea who most of the characters in the game are or their story backgrounds. There are a lot of modes available in the game. J Adventure is the story mode that revolves around 4 different arcs, involving certain characters. Victory Road is where you and your team take on tough enemies while picking your own route. Arcade mode is your standard mode from most fighters. Free battle set your own settings t…

Film Review: Ant-Man

The Movie
Let me be the first to admit that I am not a fan of Ant-Man. The character always seemed to work better with the Avengers than by himself. So you can guess that my expectations were low going in to this film. I have to admit that barring a few issues that I had with this iteration of Ant-Man, this film was fun. In my opinion there was a lot to like in the film. First, the pacing was great. I like when a film has good pacing and doesn't drag on in certain areas. I never felt like this movie dragged on in any particular part, everything moved smoothly from one scene to the next. The acting/casting in the movie was also great. I will not lie when I saw T.I. and Michael Pena in the trailer I was very worried. However, those two had some of the most hilarious parts in the film. Especially, Michael Pena when he tells his stories of how certain things happen. Those sequences had me crying laughing, they were awesome. Paul Rudd does an awesome job as Scott Lang and I enjoyed his…

Film Review - Terminator Genisys

The Movie
I'm not gonna lie, I went into this movie with low expectations. Rise of the Machines and Salvation left a sour taste in my mouth and to be completely honest after Judgment Day I thought the series tied everything up nicely. This movie, however is not a prequel or a sequel or a reboot really. I mean when you first watch it you are going to think that, especially with them recreating whole scenes from the first film. Those scenes are actually are done well for the most part. One of the big bright spots for the movie in my opinion is Arnold and his portrayal of the T-800. In the movie the timeline has been shifted and we come to find out that a T-800 was sent back to protect Sarah Conner as a child. This makes for an interesting dynamic because it ties in to T2 with a young John Conner bonding with a T-800.  The majority of the action is cool and very Terminator-esque. The CG in the film is done well in my opinion especially the T-1000 scenes as they are both familiar and …
