The Latest Nintendo Direct

Before I give my thoughts on the latest Direct I would like to say that I am glad that they are back and that Nintendo will continue doing them. This is probably one of the best ways to get information to fans without mistranslations and other issues that can arise. Its been a long time since Nintendo has held a Direct and I won't go through everything they covered just some of the games that I am looking forward to for the rest of the year and early part of next year. No worries I will link the vid at the end of this post so you can watch it, its only 45 minutes in length. With that said on to the show.

Wii U
  • Twilight Princess HD - This one had been leaked to be true a few weeks ago and honestly I am looking forward to the release. Twilight Princess is not my favorite Zelda game it is a game that I have enjoyed playing. The cool thing about this reveal is the new Wolf Link Amiibo that is coming with it, the game also is compatible with the Smash Bros Legend of Zelda amiibos.  Looking forward to learning more about how they will be utilized.
  • Star Fox Zero - And we have a release date, the game is coming April 22, 2016. The new trailer they showed off in the direct looked great to me. I am also wondering what plans and surprises Platinum and Nintendo have in store for the fans of the series.
  • Splatoon - we got some new information about this game. There are over 40 new costumes and other gear coming as well as 2 new arenas. It was also stated that the game will continue to be supported through January of 2016. All of the content is still going to be free updates to the game.
  • Fast Racing Neo - we got another trailer for this indie title from Shin'en. I am looking forward to this one although there isn't a concrete date there was a December 2015 release given. Here's hoping its the first of December and not the end of December.
  • Super Smash Bros - Now this is the part where some people are gonna love it and some people are gonna be pissed. Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7 is coming to Smash Bros., there will also be a special direct coming in December about Smash. This should be interesting to say the least.

  • Final Fantasy Explorers - It was good to see this game get some love. There is a lot to like about this title and it looks like one of those RPGs that people will be able to sink their teeth into for a long time. There is also going to be a collector's edition which is sure to make some people very happy.
  • Fire Emblem Fates - Another great RPG coming out at the first beginning of 2016. This game also has a collector's edition as well. Needless to say the 3DS is getting a lot of RPG love.
  • Hyrule Warriors Legends - I love a good Musou game and seeing as how I enjoy Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U I will be picking this game up. Along with the new characters that we have known about; a new character also debuted. Linkle will finally debut in Hyrule Warriors Legends and she looks pretty badass.
  • Project X Zone 2 - I loved the first game and all the craziness that was contained within and now I am looking forward to this one. This game is kind of hard to explain so hopefully their will be another direct before it releases for those that are uninitiated.
There was a lot of information that was shared in the Direct and it was good to see Nintendo continue to move forward with them. Going by the Direct there will be a lot of new content coming on both 3DS and Wii U in the coming months. Enough content to make the financial portfolio cry out in pain. Let me know if the comments what are you looking forward to and what did you like about the newest Direct.
