What's on my Radar 2017 Pt.1

2017 Games - Sony Edition

For this entry, I want to focus on the games which have caught my attention for the first half of 2017. These are games that are scheduled to be released from January to June. Now, just to let you know these are games that I am personally interested in for the particular system that I am discussing. So just because a third party game may not be on this list it may be on another list when I do those particular lists.

Tales of Breseria
I am a huge Tales of .... fan so when a new one comes stateside I usually show my support by picking it up day one. The Tales games are for the most part stand-alone games in the series with a couple having direct links to previous entries. This particular game is said to be one of the darkest in the series as the main character, Velvet Crowe, is on a mission of vengeance. I am interested in seeing how this plays out story wise. Many entries in the Tales series has their dark moments but I don't think any of the stories have been solely about revenge. Never to fear though I will have gameplay up of this game as soon as I am able to get some footage. The game will be available on the PS4 and PC and releases on January 24, 2017.

Horizon Zero Dawn
I have been interested in this game for a while. I want to get this Day One but with Tales of Breseria releasing on January 24, I'm going to have to hold off on this one. The game setting is post apocalyptic and I know we have seen this a lot especially in the past few years. However, the game world looks big and vibrant and the combat as well looks fluid. I am hoping to see more the closer to release we get. The game releases on February 28, 2017.

Nier Automata
After playing the demo, I must say that I am really looking forward to this title. I am already a huge fan of Platinum Studios and this game looks to have their signature style. This game also is set in a dystopian world. However, in this world, humans have long since left the planet. All that remains are androids. In the demo, you take control of 2B, the main character of the game as you explore a factory. The combat felt really good in the demo and I can't wait to see what crazy upgrades and boss battles Platinum has in store for those of us that pick this game up when it releases in March. If you have not had a chance check out the demo, available in the Playstation Store or you can check out the video below from my YouTube channel.

Tekken 7
This is the last game that I am looking forward to from Sony in the first half of 2017. The reason is the story. Ever since Bandai Namco released that Story trailer with Akuma I have been wanting to see how the story will play out. Akuma is a pretty well-known character in the Street Fighter universe and it is awesome seeing him in the Tekken Universe. The story isn't the only reason I am looking forward to this one as I have been a fan of the series ever since Tekken 3. The story is just the icing on the cake for me. Tekken 7 will be releasing on June 2, 2017.

Well, that does it for my Sony list. What games are you looking forward to in the first half of 2017 from Sony? Let me know in the comments.
