Series Review - Bill Nye Saves the World Season 1

**There are some people who feel a certain way about this show. If you feel the need to comment go ahead and do so, I only ask that you be respectful. If you have not watched the show please refrain from commenting (starting something) until you have at least watched it. I don't mind thoughtful discussion but I do mind bullying and attacking people.

My thoughts
Scrolling through my email and Netflix suggested that I check this one out. Let me start this post off by saying I am not conservative or liberal. I'm a moderate/middle of the road kind of guy. There are some things I am conservative about and there are some things I am liberal about. I usually try to keep my mind open to things because my likes are vast and I like learning new things. That being said I enjoyed the season for the most part. I liked the discussion and some of the topics were ones that I was genuinely interested in learning more about. Some of the jokes were hit and miss, I will give people that but Nye ha…

Movie Review - The Fate of the Furious (you should know what to expect by now)

Synopsis (From IMDB): Now that the crew has been exonerated and Dom and Letty are finally on their honeymoon, things seem to be going well for the team. Until Dom is forced to betray his family after being coerced into doing jobs for the mysterious Cypher. Now the team must crisscross the globe to stop Cypher and bring back the man who made them a family.

So this makes eight. At this point, you should know what to expect when going into a Fast movie. For fans of the franchise, it's all there for you to enjoy. There are fast cars, beautiful women, ridiculous stunts, and the action movie one-liners. If you have watched any of the trailers for this movie you know that the driving conflict in this movie is what could make Dom betray his team/family. For the most part, I would say that it works on a level of showing what would you do if you were in Dom's position. I like that about the movie. You already know the characters as most of them were in Fast 7 and those relationships are…

Fixing the Iron Fist Series

While I do enjoy Marvel's Iron Fist it goes without saying that there were some glaring issues. I do not agree with the SJW excuse of "if an Asian actor would have been cast as Danny then the show would have been better." This show's issues are bigger than that and honestly, that's not an issue I want to go into today, I'll maybe do that at a later date. So without further ado here are a few changes that I think would have helped fixed some of the show's issues.
The Story: To me, this is the biggest issue with the first season. The previous Marvel/Netflix shows had an entire episode dedicated to telling the origin of the character. For some reason, the showrunner's decided against doing that for this show. I think that this was a missed opportunity, what we did get was snippet's of the main character's childhood which was okay but in my opinion didn't work well. Storywise I think that they should have taken the original origin from the com…

The latest Nintendo Direct (The Extremely Short Version)

NOTE: This post is going to be short because I plan on doing a podcast on the presentation where I will go into more detail. Thanks for your understanding in advance.
SIDE NOTE: Sorry for the lack of blog posts. Please blame Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild.
FURTHER SIDE NOTE: Almost done with Breath of the Wild so posts should go back to normal of at least twice a week.

The Direct
Looks like we have a new host for the Directs, Koizumi (I can never remember his first name) was the host for today's Direct. The direct focused on ARMs and Splatoon 2 but had a lot of announcements peppered in between for both the 3DS and the Switch. There were also a lot of release dates given and a lot of games for both systems. So what I'm going to do in this post is give you what I am looking forward to for each system. The Direct itself is only 35 minutes but is packed with a lot of information.

Nintendo 3DS

Ever Oasis: This game finally got a release date and a little bit of a story synopsis. I…

Thoughts on Inhumans vs X-Men and X-Men Prime

Inhumans vs X-Men
So I finally got caught up on my comic book reading and while I was not the biggest fan of the whole Inhumans v X-Men crossover I must admit that I still don't get the point of this six issue crossover. Marvel, I need a real big favor from you comic book wise, can you stop the hero fighting heroes crossovers and events. At this point, it's just old. In all honesty, they aren't all that fun to read. For example, in IvX, the main point of the battle was supposed to be that the terrigen cloud will make mutants on planet earth extinct in a very limited amount of time unless it is destroyed. For the X-Men, it is about survival, as they don't want to leave earth and start over somewhere else. Here's my main issue with the entirety of the crossover. The Inhumans knew that the terrigen cloud was poisonous to mutants and had made them sterile. The Inhumans didn't know that the saturation level of the cloud had gotten to a point that it would kill all t…
