Thoughts on the ARMs Direct

**I was on vacation when the Direct dropped please accept my apologies for the lateness.

I finally got a chance to see the ARMs direct and I liked the information that was delivered during the presentation. There was a lot that Nintendo shared. We got to see all ten fighters as well as a little background on each one. There were also new fighters that were revealed during the presentation. I am not going to go into each one of them here but let's just say that it's nice to see Nintendo's new IP looking better and better. From a visual standpoint, I am looking forward to seeing all of the different fighting arenas and whatever else Nintendo has cooked up for this title. Also, revealed during the Direct were a number of different modes as well as ARMs mods that players can use to customize their fighter. There will also be online with ranked matches for those who wish to play competitively. One of the modes revealed during the presentation that caught my eye was a team up mode. There will be 2 vs 2 matches and in all honesty, it looks like it will be a lot of fun. To me, this game looks like it will be an interesting hit or miss. Much like Splatoon, I like the fact that this latest IP is taking a fun approach to gameplay and looks to be one of those "party" style games. One of my favorite games on the Dreamcast was Ready 2 Rumble boxing and this game looks like it will capture that sense of fun.

To be completely honest with you I wasn't planning on picking this game up at launch. It was on my radar but I had planned on getting it sometime in the Fall. After watching the Direct though, I am picking this one up day one. The game, in all honesty, looks like it will be a ton of fun. So, after watching the Direct are you planning on picking this game up day one? Who is your favorite character that was revealed? Let me know in the comments.

And Also Splatoon 2
At the end of the Direct, there was a story trailer for Splatoon 2. It was a short trailer but I am glad that the single player mode is back in Splatoon. Also, from the looks of the trailer, it looks like there will be different weapons for each area this time around. Are you pumped for Splatoon 2? Which game will you be picking up first? Let me know in the comments and as always thanks for reading.
