The Nintendo Switch 6 Months Later
It's been six months and I was thinking to myself that now would be a good time to revisit my overall thoughts on the Switch. Needless to say, I am still happy with my choice. There are a lot of titles to choose from across different genres as well. One of the main issues that plagued the Wii U, long months without games, has not been an issue so far. I have never had an issue with my Joy Cons or anything like that like some owners had at first, my experience has been very smooth with the console. Everything works as advertised and I find myself taking it with me to work to get in a gaming session during lunch from time to time. The design is still perfect to me. It's not too big, not too small it's just right and it is easy to get people involved in a game if they want to play. There are a lot of indie titles and Neo Geo titles available on the system that are fun to play and even more are on the way. The Fall and Winter lineup looks very good with a few titles that I have my eye on and hopefully, I will be able to pick up at some point.
At the time of this post, Nintendo still has not said a word about the Virtual Console. Personally, I think that they should make some sort of statement before the end of the year as I know a lot of owners and fans have been looking forward to the VC. Personally, I am hoping that there will be a mention of the GameCube VC, that system had a ton of awesome games. Also, this console is strictly for gaming. There is no NetFlix app or Hulu or even YouTube for that matter. This isn't so much a problem for me as I prefer it that way I mean I have 5 smart devices in my home and they all have the same apps on them I don't really need another one to be honest. Also, I have not had any issue with Nintendo's online service. I will say this that as of the time of this post I do not own Splatoon 2, so I have not had a chance to use the app yet, however, I have heard mixed reviews in regards to the app itself.
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and don't have not one bit of buyer's remorse. I still play Breath of the Wild as that game is just a lot of fun to me and is my favorite Zelda title. ARMS is another game that I have a lot of love for and the online for that game is amazing. Very much looking forward to the rest of the year from a games perspective there are a couple of AAA third party titles that I have my eye on with franchises I have not played in a long time. Here's hoping that Nintendo has continued success with the Switch as I truly think that this console is a very good one and it will only get better from here on out. What do you think about the first 6 months of the Switch? Let's talk about it in the comments and as always thanks for reading.
