TV Review - Voltron Season 6 Review

Available on NetFlix

Season 6 picks up right where 5 leaves off and it is an enjoyable season. By now, I think viewers of the show have grown accustomed to the shortened seasons and this season is only seven episodes long but a lot of questions from previous seasons are answered in this one. By far my favorite episode of the season is Black Paladins. We finally settle on who the leader of Voltron is and how far one goes to save family. Just like last season, there is one filler type episode but its pretty interesting in that this time the team plays a Dungeons & Dragons type tabletop RPG. I have to admit I had grown to like Prince Lotor as I pretty much got played and thought they were going to make him a good guy but boy did they reveal that he was just as bad if not worse than his father. It will be interesting to see where they go in the next season as the season finale does a good job of tying up this story but leaves the door open for a number of other issues. There wasn't anything that I didn't like about this season as I felt that from a story point of view they did a good job with their reveals and plot twists.

For Parents
Watch this with your kids, especially if you are an 80's baby and grew up loving Saturday morning cartoons. There are seven episodes at 23 minutes a piece and this show is easily bingable. Great story and very engaging, not to mention the animation is awesome.

The Verdict
WATCH THIS NOW! The entire series has been amazing. I wish they could pick up ThunderCats from where the 2011 Cartoon Network show left off and continue that one. Let me know what you guys think in the comments and as always thanks for reading.
